I’m caught up in your presence

“I’m caught up in your presence.

I just want to sit here at your feet.

I’m caught up in this holy moment.

I never want to leave.

I’m not here for blessings

You don’t owe me anything

More than anything that you can do

I just want you

Nothing else will do”

Words from a favourite worship song we sing frequently by Cody Carnes.

This morning as I woke, there was a familiar weight at the end of my bed, and a one way conversation. Like any loving Father, His words we gentle as I stirred awake. And they went something like this..

“I’m caught up in your presence.

I just want to sit here at your feet.

I’m caught up in this holy moment.

I never want to leave.

I’m not here for blessings

(Lisa) You don’t owe me anything

More than anything that you can do

I just want you

Nothing else will do”

The Father wants to spend time with me and speak to me. The Father wants to spend time with us and speak to us. The Holy Spirit within our souls want to cry out ‘abba!’ ‘Daddy’. And Jesus, or saviour and brother wants nothing better than to take our hands and lead us to Him.

“I’m caught up in your presence.. “. Imagine that. The creator has loved you before you came into existence. In a world of striving, pain and a one where we constantly have to prove our worth, the Father says I don’t care who you are and what you’ve done, whether your worthy or not.. “I’m caught up in YOUR presence, and I want to spend time with you”. The creator loves us, His creation so much! His reassuring weight is that of love, compassion and peace. He’s not here to judge, he just wants to be.

Each time he looks at you and me, His heart overflows with love and joy. Those roses tinted glasses this world criticises you for, He created them!

Yes, we hurt him and we hurt ourselves. Don’t think His heart doesn’t bleed a little more each time He sees us suffering, but He still loves us and wants to spend time with us. There is nothing you can do to disappoint Him, nothing you can do to make Him turn from you. His way is forgiveness for those who call. His way is mercy and peace.

Do you still think you’re unworthy to have such an intimate moment with your Lord?

Do you still think He doesn’t want you? Won’t forgive you? Oh, the little lies that keep you away from His presence!!!

Just start talking to him! He will respond. He wants nothing better to do but respond.

If you feel unworthy tell him.

If you want forgiveness, ask him.

These little blots become cancers that eat away hardening our hearts and deadening our souls.

It’s time to begin.

Don’t be frightened by prayer. Its doesn’t need to be elaborate. It’s a conversation, like any other!

And if you find the time, what a difference it will make!

However busy our days are or get, He will always spend time with you if you ask.. And if you ask Him to come as you awaken, what a great way to start your day! ’Nothin’ else will do!’
